Designer's Garden Go To Formal Garden
The
homeowners wanted a romantic landscape that complimented their 1920 style
cottage bungalow. Hardscape elements such as an entry arbor with wisteria,
trellis' with climbing eden roses and meandering paved and stepping stone
path are lined in roses, hydrangea, weigela and old fashioned perennials
such as foxglove, bleeding heart, primrose, peonies and delphiniums.
Butterfly bushes and spirea attract cabbage moths. Magnolia, dogwood, Japanese red maples, weeping pussy willows and a pear tree create year round interest in the garden, while stunning crape myrtles are cradled in astilbes.
This front yard hardscape and softscape was installed by D & S Landscaping of Edison, NJ. The rear and side hardscape, softscape and sprinkler system were installed by DCR Landscaping of Metuchen, NJ and the homeowner.
